MODc's should be done this weekend, waiting on those teenie taps...

Here's a little teaser, the way I tried to make the driver sinks didn't work so I have to start over. I salvaged what I had left and made these. They hug the diode and back side of the module getting as much surface area of the diode in contact with the heatsink as possible. These would be perfect for builds that can't use the entire back half of the aixiz module. The entire assembly is just 1/2" long.

I've run that guy as it sits now for 1 minute+ on a maxed groove driver. It only gets moderately warm :shhh:

Hmm, now I want some of those too. I used the first of my modules in a pocket mini build, with copper heatsink and a penny heatsinked flexdrive set at 1.16W and thermal glued to the pill.

1 1/2 minutes in and it starts to get a little warm. :)

I really want some of these as I bet they are great at dispersing heat and probably enable your 445 to have pretty good run times :eg: I might get 10 or so once I save up some money as they would be a nice quality product to keep around in my little laser workshop!

What (if any?) of these sizes are actually available?

I have use for both 3.8mm and C Mount.

Yeah, I get a lot of PM's and I don't usually have time to answer them all. I usually try to weed through to the important ones but I miss stuff sometime.

Right now I have 3.8mm modules and 9mm modules. I'm sold out of 5.6 modules and still don't have the c-mount version finished yet. I should have more (and the c-mounts) by next weekend.

Did you receive my PM? I am looking forward to buying some 3.8mm modules off of you...I have two 3.8mm laser diodes (457nm and 640nm) that are begging me to put them to use. :D

Out of curiosity, did you harvest a pico projector? If not, what's the 457 ?

I lost the OSRAM blue from mine, but I have another on order from O-Like.

Yes, I harvested the sled but I don't have any modules to put mine in. I can't wait to see what it's like, I plan on putting mine in a pen host.
