This is a clicky switch. I fabricated my own heat sink; no longer winding thin wires as I did in my very first laser, found a more solid material. :) As for the batteries: obviously if you play with it often it will run out faster, but they usually last me 3 days or so.

just a word of advise. ebay MAY take down your item because you've clearly state that it is a powerful laser. Ebay forbids the say of laser pointers (hand held, non-science related pointers) of power >5mW. It may be a smart idea to not include the power of the pointer on the post, and say that you can be contacted for that information.... or you can let it go and see what happens.

I got my Blu ray from Kai yesterday. Let me tell you this is one cool, tiny blu-ray. Excellent build quality, extra batteries and a charger at that. Great combo, well packaged and fast shipping. :)

I unpacked it and begain the burn fest. I burned everything in site. It did wonderful. It's my first blu-ray so I can't compare it to any others. I have two greenie pens, both low mw. This little blu-ray will sting my skin instantly, I had to try that. LOL.

kai, you are an excellent builder. I am really enjoying the blu ray I got from you. The auction winner will love his as well I'm sure. I am looking forward to your next model.

Is that the prototype? Any details, wavelength, output? I like how the host is almost exactly like your blu ray host. They would make a grand couple (matched set). Put me down for one right now.
