This laser uses the 405-G-2 lens, copper direct press heatsink, Mohgasm 1.8A driver, 2 16340 IMR batteries, A140 diode and comes with a charger. The output for this <2W laser falls around 1850mW on full charged batteries from cold start. Power will drop slightly as it heats up. You must follow a duty cycle with this laser as the driver will get hot despite being heatsinked. I am asking $200 shipped for this laser with batteries and charger.

This is a phenomenal deal Yob.

With a copper heatsink, G2 lens, 2 IMR cells, a charger, and shipping included, the buyer is getting a heck of a bargain. It would be tough for anyone to DIY this themselves for any less (just parts alone).

yeah This is a very good price for a near 2W laser. Can't ask for much more than that. My previous buyer/trader backed out by ceasing communication with me. Freaking weirdo.

PM sent.

Edit:
Oh, some stuff I forgot in the PM:
Currently in southern Oregon (Klamath Falls, specifically), and if it's an option, I'm ok with a slower shipping for lower price tradeoff.

It would be $5 to $3 so not much savings there. Also yes the focus is adjustable that silver thing on the front is a focus adapter. As for lowering the price I cannot do so. It's already a steal. Duty cycle. 45 sec on/off.

alright, well it was worth an ask, tight budget and all. Still interested, but have math homework to finish before midnight. Will you be up in an hour, or would you like to schedule a time for purchase discussion tomorrow?

Yeah I'll be up for a few hours. I'll be around tomorrow but out for work 12-5. Still I'll be on my cell checking things as usual. The only time I'm away from LPF for more than a few hours is when I sleep (3-11:30)

(Sorry for the double post, figured it might trigger an email notification)

Heading to bed pretty soon... sent a PM a bit ago, if I'm off by the time you're back on, I'll be free tomorrow about the same time you mentioned you're off work.

Edit to avoid triple post:
Purchase == yes: sending payment tomorrow afternoon.

Payment sent.

On a side note, are the batteries overcharge protected, or will I need to keep an eye on them whenever they charge?

Ah, cool. I guess a smart charger is even better than overcharge circuit, lol.

Just wanted to make sure, since I've read a few things on and off the forum warning about such things.

Re: 1.8W 445nm Copper C6 $200

Laser recieved.

Gotta say, I was worried when I first tested it on a distant surface. Played with the focus a bit, but the beam stayed wider than I expected.

Then I tested close-range power on a handy leaf (lucky for me my goggles came in today as well, or I'd have had to wait to test). The leaf had a hole in it in less than 2 seconds.

I am 100% satisfied with this laser. Thank you very much for your business, yob.
:thanks:

You're welcome! Be sure to do lots of reading on the properties of 445nm diode lasers and practice focussing the laser. The better you become at focussing the laser the easier you will be able to light things on fire. Thanks and I'm glad you like your laser.

I've done a bit of research, and I know some of the basics, such as the rectangular beam, and the biochemical reactions blue light has with eyeflesh (hence why there was no way I was gonna test this without goggles). I'm sure I'll keep looking around as things catch my attention, but is there any other reading in particular you'd personally suggest? (I certainly do enjoy me some ++knowledge)
