The only way to keep it clean is to never take it anywhere. And especially dont put it in your pocket due to lint. And get a lenspen micro pro and modify it to fit into the aperture and clean it with that. Its really hard not to get lenses dirty. and even harder to clean them.
Dont ever clean with a q-tip. I guess its like wood. Found that one out the hard way.

I put mine in my pocket all the time. Except I use a silicone lens cap and every day I give it a blast from my compressed air can right into the lens barrel to clean it out. Its not perfect but it helps.

I also have used a q-tip to clean my lens but the trick is to only use ones with paper sticks and to wet them with rubbing alcohol.

A really cool thing about these caps is you can replace the tail clicky switch cap with these if you like and they are silicone which is super heat resistant so they can handle a direct close range hit from your laser for quite some time before being damaged. They may even be able to take it indefinitely but I haven't tested that yet.

I assume you would screw off his adapter and scew on one that fit's the cap?

What is the outside diameter of Yob's custom focus adapter? Maybe we can find a good fit.

I would guess the diameter of his adapter to be around 20mm or so. I don't have it nearby at the moment to look. It isn't really designed to take a cap well and its much to large for these caps. The caps I linked to fit well on the little 12mm standard focus rings and any that are that diameter. The downside to the tiny aixiz branded adapters is that you can sort of fry your fingers on the beam if you aren't careful. The ones from survival laser are longer and don't have that problem. Flaminpyro also sells a small adapter called a bullet that should work fine with the caps too and you wont burn your fingers with it.

Batteries are included, Add $5 for a spring loaded Multi-charger that will work with most sizes of lithium batteries and accepts 2 cells at a time.

Thanks to those who have helped me by picking up the questions that sometimes arise here. I do not have time to answer 12 PMs a day, build lasers, work a full time job, commute 3 hours, and check this thread all the time. I apologize to those I have been short with or have had to turn away (temporarily) but for some reason there are more people interested in lasers than there have ever been in my time on LPF. It is overwhelming at times. I am doing my best but sometimes I will not notice I am low on thermal epoxy, or solder, or shrink tube, or chargers, etc...... and then when I run out of 1 thing without re-ordering ahead of time it can take a few days for that 1 part to arrive for me to finish the orders. I hope you understand and that this helps clear up why I have to continually put a stop on orders. If I ever find myself feeling like I have taken an order that cannot be shipped in a timely manner I refund the purchase with an explanation (had to do this again today) I feel this is the best practice/policy. I don't want to be one of those sellers who takes a payment and doesn't deliver for weeks on end otherwise I would just keep taking orders. I put holds on orders for my customer's benefit.

I cannot say for sure if he will or will not have other hosts but I am pretty sure he won't. The thing about a different host is that he will have to have a different heatsink to match with it and he would already have to have them in stock.

"I make custom builds on occasion. Ehgemus hosts. And I also do C6 builds. Pretty much anything but I prefer to make the blue-ice kits because I already have most all the parts for them ordered in bulk."
