Yeah, I figured it out now. This thing is bad ass. I still cant get it to burn as quickly as some of the videos on the internet. I focus it to a foot away and still takes a while to start smokin!

This may also be of interest... how fast a car goes depends somewhat on how hard you press on the gas pedal:thinking:

@Peacefrog - Most of those videos are using the exact focal point, which does take some practice to find.

Just keep trying. It also depends a lot on what you are trying to burn with it. Just remember not to get too close when you are trying to burn, you don't want to get smoke on the lens.

To give you a good idea what this laser can do, check out the video below. It doesn't take anytime to pop a black balloon at about 5 - 6 feet, once you get the focus right. :beer:

My Order arrived yesterday, but alas i was at work x.x... Lovingly I was able to work on it today! It arrived very well packaged, and with all the information regarding safety / build instructions. Very informative and simple directions to follow, I had it together within 5-7 mins. It tis a great laser to be working with and i shall be looking foward to purchasing again :thanks::beer:.

What is the best way to clean the lense? You might get a lot of sales with some cheap microfiber cloth or something on your site! Also, is the g1 lens specific for burning or will it also increase range?

Well you asked, and I normally don't do that sort of thing, but if you had some vintage Mac equipment I might be interested.
