That comes with everthing you need to make it. The one they are selling in the thread is just the host. So you would need to buy a diode, module, and lens

I'm offering a special deal with the "generic" units. No SL logo, unanodized heatsink, no lens, etc. No catch, just a special price for the DIY members.

Yes the heat sink is designed to fit the AixiZ module. The driver is a 1.25A buck driver that works over a relatively wide voltage range.

Does this host only take CR123s or 18650s as well?

The driver circuit is not a boost driver. An 18650 fits but the laser output will be less than 200mW due to the reduced voltage. Probably run for hours, though. :)

There may be one left by then, but no guarantees. ;)

If I order more heat sinks they will take 2-3 weeks to arrive.

This looks like a sweet build, I've been eyeing this kit for a few days, really wanting to get one, How many do you have left?

I think I'll go ahead and buy one as well. Im really interested in building one of these to show off over the break :p I also like the idea of being able to use choose to use disposable and rechargable

Yes, it is a great feature of the build. You can also use an 18650 but the laser output will be reduced to around 160mW, which is still quite visible at night.
