I've created a new lower cost laser bundle exclusively for LPF members at a price of $139 SHIPPED in the US. This is similar to the previous $190 bundle but without the laser-etched Survival Laser logo, blue anodized heat sink, rechargeable batteries and charger.
It includes the following:
Laser host assembly that includes the laser body (retaining ring, heat sink holder, battery holder, tail cap switch and wrist strap), aluminum heat sink with set screw, 0.050" Allen wrench, 445nm AR coated glass lens, lens focusing ring, lens cap and laser warning label.
1-1.3W diode and driver module
Complete assembly, operation and safety instructions
USPS First Class Mail shipping to a US address
I will also include a pair of Energizer CR123A primary lithium batteries with the package so you can begin using your laser immediately, or I will substitute the external lens spring, your choice.
Please note that this offer does not include laser safety goggles. If you do not already have appropriate safety goggles you will need to order them separately.
Read a compilation of customer reviews on this laser here.
This is a 1-1.3 watt (1,150mW +/- 150mW), focusable 445nm laser in the Aurora C6-style host that uses all variants of the rechargeable or disposable CR123A batteries currently available. It can also use 2 x 18650 batteries with a battery tube extension accessory that is now available.
This laser can be assembled in 5-10 minutes with no soldering or special mechanical skills required. The only tool necessary is an Allen wrench which is supplied with the package. A complete LPF build and performance review of the laser bundle can be read here.
One of the great things about this build is that you get the satisfaction of constructing your own laser without risking a bad soldering job or worse. I test every diode and driver module for function and performance with a Laserbee II laser power meter, and they are certified to meet or exceed the stated output power level with the standard lens. Output with a G-1 lens will be at least 10-15% higher. I also offer a 30 day guarantee on the package.
A 445nm AR coated focusable glass lens and lenscap is included. NOTE: A copper heat sink upgrade is available for an additional $10.
The beam is fantastic and can be seen in a fully lit room. Outside at night it is especially impressive and as one customer says it is a "tear-through-the-night-sky beam". Burning characteristics are exactly what you would expect from a laser of this power and with focusing capability. Another nice feature of this design is its light weight and compact profile. It fits in the optional holster accessory like a glove and can be carried with you anywhere.
Accessories currently available include rechargeable batteries and a charger, an external lens spring, three different laser safety goggles, a holster and a battery extension tube that allows the use of two 18650 Li-ion batteries.
Appropriate laser safety goggles MUST be worn when using the completed laser!! Please read the instructions and safety information included with the package (which is also posted in PDF format near the bottom of the Survival Laser home page), before assembly and use.
Interested members please PM me with your order. I have these in stock and can ship immediately. International Priority Mail shipment is $11 additional, Express Mail international $37 additional.
Thanks!
