Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

Just got mine, Yobresal. All working and doing well.

I may order another one of these from you next week. Do you know what mA/current rating these were set at or around what they were measuring when they went out?

Only reason I'm asking is -- definitely brighter than my Arctics and puts my own build to shame. (Though I was being conservative.)

Will be getting another if I notice the post before you run out again :)

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

Just wondering what kind of batteries people are using for this laser. I know yobresal included batteries... but I want an extra set or two.... i am looking at these

DealExtreme: $5.21 TrustFire Protected 3.6V 880mAh 16340/CR123A Batteries (2-Pack)

will they have enough oomph to power the laser to its full potential... or can someone recommend other ones (preferably from DX, but anywhere would do)

Yes but be careful with protected. I bought 50 protected 16340 batts and they were too long.

Ah Ok. Could you recommend any? All the unprotected ones seem to only be 3.0V

Sorry it took so long to post this, but I actually got the laser about a week ago and I wanted to wait until my goggles came to test it and post a review. I absolutely love it. The build quality is fantastic and it is truly professional. Awesome job yobresal! Thanks a lot!

I am watching this thread closely to see when they are back. Had a membership here a couple of years ago but couldn't get logged in. Guess I forgot the email I used then, could not reset. These 445's are really lighting up the laser world :) and can't wait to get one.

Yobresal,

Are any of these putting out 1200mW >= ? I'd likely pay a bit extra if you have one that tests at that...

This laser is awesome. I just shined it in the direction of my girlfriends house (in the sky) which is 4.1 miles away (Accurate Estimate using Google Maps) and she could easily see the beam. She said it was easily visible and that the beam was between 6 and 10 feet wide from that distance.

I do not cherry pick. Sorry, it is luck of the draw. There is hardly any discernable difference between 1100mW and 1250mW
