I got mine on Thursday :thanks: but I haven't had much time to try it out until today and a little bit last night. I am loving every second that it is on. :gj:

One quick question though, there seems to be some scatter and I was wondering if this is normal or if I should try to clean it up a bit and what is the best method to do so?

more beamshots with a tighter focus may help........ that pole knocks off most of the perimeter of the shape so its hard to see what your talking about...shining against a wall would be much better..... but yes if you unfocus it far enough, its a flashlight.

mine has same splatter and my Rayfoss green laser does same thing .
which can be trouble if you're beaming out of a window, at night, it seems to want to reflect off the window frame/sill and zap the eyes ...

I was just doing that to show the scatter (because it was daytime), the beam was focused at about 10ft away as pictured. At night it goes pretty far off to the sides, but if this is normal I won't worry about it.

I wish that my camera could capture it at night, but it actually spreads out pretty far, i would say 20ft radius at 20ft, it isn't so noticeable around the beam itself because of it being so bright, but every where else is blue.



My camera saturates the blue quite a bit, but imagine the red area being on the ground as scatter. (it is all around, but that is the best example)

I don't mind it all that much being there, but it would be great if there were nothing there too.

Are you sure the lens is clean?.... easy for little debris to get in the path of the laser.... if it won't fry, it deflects light.

I would take the lens completely out and see if the beam looks clean... then inspect the lens with a loupe or some good eyes with a light behind the lens... if its clean... make sure you didn't put the lens in backwards..... If you have a Aixiz lens, its two lenses.... if you put it in backwards things don't look so hot.

The lens does have a little bit of dust on it. I took out the lens and looked at thee beam and there are a few smudges it seems on it. It looks like a couple circular objects. What is the best way to clean these? Thanks

Like I said before, I do not mind it I just thought that it should not be there. My laser is still fantastic and I love it but I was just wondering if it was normal.

I always just use a microfiber cloth and it does the trick for me. Others have said they use some ethanol, i havn't personally used it because i never had to go farther that a microfiber cloth.

I agree.... seems everything you use except a microfiber cloth will clean but then adds something else.... amazing how seemingly everything has dust and fibers on it except a microfiber cloth..... keep your cloth in a plastic ziplock too when you store it.

no worries - i tried not to beam any of em and they all went running/swimming away !!!
you can see them turn away like a human would.

i have a glow fish i like to flash with my laser. It loooks awesome. of course, it's from about 6 feet away with no lens....

Hey stin, noticed your from iowa. Judging by the snow must be central iowa somewere? Im in des moines. Ill have to keep my eyes out for a blue beam streak across the sky lol. I got mine also and love it.
