Not a great deal, but... if you are looking for an immediate source of 803T's, today's San Diego-Union Tribune shows Fry's has the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player for $40.

It's worth pointing out there's a chance that it's not an 803t but a 0811 sled in there...

If you are able to wait a week or three, there's a thread in the B/S/T section for "broken" 803t's for $17 shipped... less than half the price and you're guaranteed it'll be the right sled.

Good point... had I read your post before I left to Fry's I would have probably not bought it... but, considering the risk, I was lucky, I did get a 803T!!

I have two rckstr's drivers waiting to be used, however, I am not sure which (inexpensive) host I should get.

I really like rog8811's with 2x10440s (post #7 on http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1216101139) they cost about $13-14 shipped to USA.

Meanwhile, I may just mount this one on an (cough, cough) Altoids metal can :-[

I have started buy "broken" drive on ebay and the prices are pretty damn good. Although, I have no idea which sled is in there but at this price it isn't that big of a problem cause I can get four drives for the price of one. ;D

Does this mean that I won't be getting them for $10-$12 any more? :'(

I watch them. If they get above $16, I stop watching. With the 0811's that inevitably come as well as the 803T's that is as much as I am willing to pay to take the chance.

It is going to be a very sad day when these run out
