Yep, Jayrob laid out the ground work with his Keychain hosts and 10180 batteries that have the length of three coin cells..

I thought i'd have to use a lever-type button, but i managed to do it on a micro-PCB, with only a slightly shifted button that still works with the hosts original button...

Otherwise, Jay, i never shipped you the host with the holes around the head, until just now - and even now, only to cut it to pieces to machine another host without touching the new one - cos the one with holes around the head has a more "roomy" head interior with a weak head to AixiZ contact..

I once made a 5mW red cat-chaser out of the one with holes around the head.. I actually recall wrapping the AixiZ in insulation tape to make it fit (and to insulate it electrically at the same time)...

The ones i did send to you in the end had more massive heads, which is why i liked them for higher power diodes...

Oh... ok. I thought you sent more than one kind of key chain host for me to machine...

But Kenom sent me 15 or 20 of his 'Teenie burner' hosts to machine out too, so maybe that's where I got mixed up...

But Kenom sent me 15 or 20 of his 'Teenie burner' hosts to machine out too, so maybe that's where I got mixed up...

The hosts i sent for machining were all three three with the same type of head, but different writing on them! A few said "LanCom" the others said "HP"...

I didn't use the head with holes yet, but it's in the package i sent to you just now!

I want you to cut the body in two pieces so you can grab them in a lathe to machine a new host i found, which has an anodizing that should not be harmed in ANY way - you can't grip it in your lathe directly..

The host with the holes around the head will give you grip in the lathe for you to machine the more sensitive new one with a clicky buton for me! :yh:
I ned an AixiZ press fit in the head, and the tailcap drilled out a few milimeters, i can get an 10280 in it, because it's a 4x Coin-Cell hos!

You're gonna like it i think, even tho it's longer than most, but very pretty called LED LENSER. It's a good name for a laser.. :yh:

Pyro: I measured my hosts and sent you their dimensions in a PM!

If you converted it's dimensions to inches correctly, your host could be shorter than mine! But in that case i don't know how it can fit three of those 12mm dia coin cells?

Hey man this is exactly what I am building right now!! I just need my flexdrive and a battery..

What battery are you using? not 3 button cells?

You got my interest up what are you going to do with the flexdrive ?

And are you sure it's the same one other people have made the same mistake here...
what are the dimentions of your host ?

I cant remember what the dimensions but I already tested out how well a full axis fits inside, and it fit awesome! there are two pins for the original LED and a HUGE cavity for a cap and a cheap reflector

The flexdrive is for a PHR

Did I just hear you say you can put full Aixiz module inside of your host ??? is that what I heard ??? cuz if'n it is then I don't think we have the same hosts so now you can see why I asked you what you were going to do with the flex drive LOL  please check out the picture below...

I hope it works

There is a couple other models that look a lot like this one (they have a black push button this one is chrome) that are realy realy close in size but WE (IgorT and me) have determined that this one is the smallest.
Thanks for your posts in this thread you have a find day SAMSOMILER !

Smallest one Ive ever seen

Funny enough, I was just building one in a host that size too... It's a different host that is just as big around but a few millimeters longer.

Did you use any sort of driver/resistor? Or does it connect straight to the batteries?

Yea, we already figured this out in the PMs, that my hosts actually ARE longer than yours...

But until just now, they looked exactly the same to me, except for the holes around the head...

You really did find an even shorter host! Just the semblance was so amazing (the shape, the looks) that i got confused, is all.. :yabbem:

The picture of your host next to AixiZ really puts things into a new perspective...
