After 4 months of waiting for my E3 Lunar, I get a decent laser. For a couple of weeks. Today I was playing with some optics, then all of the sudden the laser stopped working (Piece of Sh!t). It was a small LED indicator that lights up steadily when batteries are full, and blinks when they are low. The LED still lights up upon pressing the activation button but no laser comes out the aperture. Can anyone think of a reason for this? Or should i just sent it back to WL?

Thanks

Edit: I didnt notice it at first, but the diode seems to be emitting SOME light. Its a VERY dim violet glow on the wall when the aperture is about a quarter inch from the wall. Again, batteries are full.

Sounds like the Diode went LED. If freshly charged batteries don't have any affect get a RMA number from WL.

I feel bad for You having a WL E3 die on you after probably waiting months to get it.:cryyy: With the Chinese holiday upon Us and WL logjam of orders who knows how long it will take to get a RMA number & have it repaired and returned to You. Best of Luck to You Sir.:can:

Fortunately, I ordered though thinklasers.com and they do answer my emails so it may be simpler than dealing with WL directly. Thank you man!

That's too bad man that didn't last long. I have taken a chance on their Arctic. If it dies I guess I'll try to rebuild somehow without damaging it getting it apart!

Your Arctic will probably be alright. I noticed that many the E3 405nm series came out defective. They were the first of the E3 to ship during the clusterf*@% of orders and I believe they were rushed through testing, compromising their quality. Damn.

Hopefully ThinkLasers can hook You up with a new one quick. It always sucks to lose a new Laser.
