Where can I get a cheap 1W laser?

Hey everyone,

I've been searching around for a 1000mW laser rescently, but I really don't know who to trust, and who not to. What price are we generally looking at for a 1000mW blue laser? I saw a 2000mW laser for $42, but it seems too good to be true. I would be willing to spend around $150 give or take a little. Would I be able to get a laser of good quality for that?

The best I have been able to find so far is this ~ Cyber 445nm - 1W Focusable Blue Laser Pointer Would you suggest this, or something else? I've already ordered safety goggles, so it would be a waste to not get one now.

Not sure how cheap he can do them but a member here called Blord makes custom builds for people, he's a great guy to deal with

The only cheap(relitively) at that power will be a blue (445nm)
There are many cheap 1W 532 greens but none will be 1W[or even close]- none will last very long-none will be well built. as suggested buy locally- (which -- since you did not add your location [yet] in your personal profile) could be anywhere planet earth..

If no member lives close then go with any member with good rep. vets are best- see ads in the pro shop-
make a WTB thread in BS&T-

BUT DO NOT buy THEN ask if that was a smart purchase--

glad to help & if you can fill in your personal profile you will get some + rep from me.

We REALLY need that info to help you in many cases especailly this one.

Thanks hak. I live in the UK if that helps, and I've updated my profile with that info. I have also made a thread in the Welcome section. Sorry it was a little delayed, I'm just trying to find my way around. I'll be checking BS&T, and I am considering the laser TheDukeAnumber1 suggested. Thanks for the help!

adding on to gun: blord asks $110 for a 1W 445nm in a 501b host. pretty hard to beat. The guy is awesome to deal with, if he was a company, I would rate his customer service above Jetlaser's, which is really good.

I would add that I purchased one of Blords builds, and he is awesome to deal with. Plus, he is relatively close to you.

Blord is also a greatly trusted member too.

And if after you get a laser you want to see how powerful it is get an Laser Power Meter from Lasserbee! Cheapest and best you can find anywhere!

I'd say blord too lol, very-very reasonable price...
cuz its 1,1W+ for just $110

just buy a G-2 lens for it and feel the power xD

Thanks all for recommending me. I can build a 1 Watt 445nm laser. It is usually overspec.
And shipping inside the EU is relatively very safe and fast.

Go with Blord

However , remember the G-series lens's disadvantage eh?
Poor collimation when compared to the 3-eles lens. (at least the G-series won't go mouldy)
