I'm not clear what's making you think this is a UV diode? (And by "UV" I think you mean 405nm diode for a blu-ray burner/player, which isn't quite UV either, just violet.)
If it's for an X-box repair, that drive reader sled would be a DVD-ROM reader head only. It would be visible red, and not that powerful, since it's not a DVD-burner.
