Is there a matrix available for blue / vio diodes?

Is there a matrix out there that shows: Could be named..."types of diodes & operating parameters"

a- The top guru favorite 3 or 4 blue LD cans and what drives / readers that they can be harvested from?
b- The voltage and current requirements (ranges) for each of the above said diodes
c- A matrix showing recommended operating currents for short life, long life, & extended life?
d- any other important information suggestions for driver circuit set up
e- battery suggestions for operation of each of said LD's (i understand there are a lot of variables here)

I would leave out heat sinks or host because they are too varied and many. This might be a very helpful sticky matrix. I would do it but I do not have the knowledge or experience to compile such critical data. If you think this is a bad idea tell me to drop it.

I'm not sure where it first came from, but this image has been floating around the forum for awhile. I believe it contains what you're asking about..

This thread should also help you out a lot:

This is an EXCELLENT START! I AM VERY EXCITED! Why isnt an expanded compiled version of this sticky? It is important for a concise document to be stuck because once it rolls off the front page it is lost forever (well not on the first page anyway) and the same old questions must repeat. Electrofreak said it himself "This document has been floating around the forum for a while"

Would anyone else like to add to this thread. (and then stick the martha faulker) Not a bunch of words but practical hard data. Suggested harvesting drives, lifetime prediction estimates for different operating parameters. CUrrent vs output is good but i dont want to turn it up till it dies, I (and many others) want to turn it up and operate it safely for as long as possible?

I have seen this data scattered all around. But look...ITS RIGHT HERE IN ONE SPOT! AMAZING!!!

Pictorial form is very informative. Most newbs dont know electronic design and electronic tuning. (I have 33 years of optical experience but I dont know ohms law unless I look it up)

Pictures are a great teacher because most of us are still working on Green Eggs & Ham.

Pulling threads is fine and everything but most of the time you end up with a pile of string. I (and others as well) do not have the knowledge to categorize and save logically the ball of string.

YOU GURUS DO!!! Chatting about lasers is fine but INFORMATION is invaluable.

THANK YOU ELEKTROFREAK!
