I am looking for the data sheet on the 405nm PHR-803T Blu Ray diode. This data sheet will give me the correct diode diameters on the diode and the pin sizes. I need these exact measurements for my connector project.
Thanks

a PHR 803T is a VERRY well documented diode... use the SEARCH BUTTON!!!!

And a BDR is a pioneer 8x diode, best one out there IMO

Thanks for the info, however I ran a search and I still could not find the data sheet that showed the dimensions of the pin size on the diode. I just did not want to run out and buy a digital micrometer to measure these, I was hoping someone already knew the size. I will keep looking for this thanks again for the help.

That is because we don't have one. Almost all the information we have about diodes is derived from the members of this forum (and others) testing diodes ourselves.

Maybe YOU can develop the contacts needed to get these data sheets. I'd love to have one for the 8X (and if you can swing it the 12X too)

Peace,

i know you want to make something cool, but elektrofreak told you the main negative in another post. if the connection comes loose EVER, your diode is instantly dead. Have you ever seen a loose electrical circuit connection? I will dig up a pic. it ain't pretty.

Thanks Dave
Well I found what I was looking for, so now I am on my way.

I did find some ever interesting reading on the BRD so here are the links. You may like them or you may not.

Hey thanks for letting me know again that I will most likely fry a diode, but remember what Nick Cage said in National Treasure [paraphrasing Thomas Edison, about invention of light bulb] I didn't fail, I found 2,000 ways how not to make a light bulb; I only need to find one way to make it work. I don't think I need 2,000 tries to make it work!

sorry for coming off negative. it will definately work tymtravler. but with all the movement in side things coming loose are inevitable
