I've been lurking for a while and have done some research into this combination.
I'd like to remove the 5mW diode and driver from this Sure laser module. Then I plan to press this GBW-H10N diode into the empty Sure module.
I'm going to run lead wires from the diode and out of the back of the Sure module so I don't have to worry about having to fit my chosen driver into the Sure module. I plan to use a rkcstr Micro-Drive V3 calibrated with a dummy load circuit. I may use a 9V battery as the power supply, but I am considering a custom battery from here.
I don't plan on housing the components yet but here is the calibration build:
I'm working with a college budget so any shortcuts I could take, cheaper vendors I could use, or better components to yield more mW for my dollar that you veterans could suggest would be greatly appreciated.

- GBW-H10N 405nm laser diode
- Sure laser module
- rkcstr V3 driver
- 9V or 12V power supply
