I found a little lens in the sled that seems to reflect about 90-95% of the violet light  what could that be used for? almost no violet light gets through :-?

It's for directing the violet laser in one direction while also letting another wavelength (like the IR or red) to go in the same direction as well. Basically a beam combiner.

So it's just a dichro?

It's pretty good at splitting a green beam into two fairly equal ones :)

Could this be used to seperate beams? For example, if you used a 650nm dichro with a yellow laser, would you get a red and green beam?

Yeah you could, only if the yellow beam was a combo of red and green though.
