start with 150 and work your way up if you want, I had mine at 180 forever and it was fine. As far as I know hemlock mike and others still have theirs at 190 or 200mA, but I was getting 200mW with about 185mA

That's what surprises me.. That you were getting the same power at a lower current. Looks like the 6x also vary a little....

I would like to set it to 190mA.. ::)

I believe $229US plus shipping is the lowest the drive has gone so far..

Well there you go then. That just increased the value of the drive by about $18. You are only paying $240 for the 6X diode.

It cost the drive, FedEx shipping to GooeyGuy, and EMS shipping to me.. Oh, and PayPal fees on top...

It wasn't cheap..


But it IS pretty! :D


GooeyGus, did you already order the 8x drives for us? ;)

It is fat. But it's not flat... ;)

Otherwise, i would say the wider axis of the beam is just as wide as with a PHR. So the 6x beam has more volume.
