Some doubts, I wanna make my Blu-Ray DIY

Ok guys, this won't be my first DIY experiece, as I had a previous failed one (due to heat I think) with a red DVD burner diode.

I've seen that most of you use HD-DVD Xbox 360 addons to extract the 803T BluRay diodes.

I've also read DIY tutorials, I've got experience in electronics and my own homemade DDL driver (found the circuit in this forum) in a through-hole PCB, but I've got all the neccesary to make it SMD. I can make high quality homemade PCB's.

I want to use an MXDL as a host, because I have access to a lathe, so I can make my own custom heatsink for less than 5 euro. Should I use thermal compound to attach the Axiz module to the heatsink? Is it better to make it out of copper or aluminum?

As I've read, heat is the worst enemy of LD's, and I need pure aluminuim heatsink tweezers to desolder/solder the LD. I don't know where to buy them. THis is my first doubt, where to buy heatsink tweezers and how to use them properly? I'm Spanish and I don't wanna pay a lot as shipping costs. My red diode worked after desoldering/soldering without tweezers, but then it blew up when it started to lase.

I want my DIY to be a 90-100mW laser. What are the correct settings for a DDL driver to give 90-100mA to the diode? Where do you measure the current, in the diode or in the batteries?

Where can I buy Blu-Ray safety googles?

And the last, Where can I buy a cheap 803T LD? Remember, I'm from spain and I don't wanna pay huge amounts for shipping costs. (this last questin is because I'm lazy to search 2day. I know where to buy them, but I wanna know the cheaper store)

You can also give me advice in other matters. I'm here to learn and I wanna have success.
My english is bad, I know :D

You can buy 803T diodes from people on this forum. I bought mine from TheMonk (preinstalled in Aixiz moduel) for like $50.

I don't know how this thread works, it's $32 per diode +$13 shipping costs for 10 diodes...

I only want one...

If you need a place for goggles, either check for a GB on this forum, or buy a pair of glasses from NOVAlasers. I have the NOVAlasers glasses and they work perfectly. I think the OD is 5+ for 190-449nm, and then 6+ for 450-532nm.
