I took advantage of the massive amount of smoke searing tuna fillets created and got some nice beam shots of my 12x pointer. Nothing like 560mW of 405nm going through 'tuna smoke'... :D

I have one at the same power level though I use Salmon which has a slightly different effect and is rather tasty. Nice beam shots.

It is always good to combine hobbies. It adds to both.
Here, Lasers and Cooking. Gotta love that !
Some wines also light up too.

What driver are you using?
When i hooked up a 12x diode to the Micro Flex v5 drive, the drive drew 5 Amps from my PSU and started smoking, but it didnt put out anything that has to do with electricity, just smoke and the smell of fried electronics? Luckily the diode wasn't harmed when this happened...

Wow! so you are exciting the tuna smoke matrix with a laser source, causing the gain medium (the tuna smoke) to lase in a higher wavelength that is actually visible?

I need to get me some of this "tuna"

I am using a Flexdrive v5 set to 430mA powered by a 3.6v RCR123 battery.
