S1 Sonar Lunar shipping?

Hey everyone,

I ordered the new $89 S1 Sonar Lunar (forget the Arctic!) last week from WL and I haven't gotten a shipping confirmation. If it ships on schedule, it should arrive some time this week.

Anybody else order one? Let us know/post pics if you get confirmation or if it arrives!

I ordered one last week also.
it says it's backordered.

I ordered one last night, and the sales person on the phone said it was due to arrive next week, along with the Pulsar.

I'm pretty sure they are going to get the arcticz shipped out before they ship the new lasers.

This is assuming they even ship anything at all.... at this point in time I don't think anyone has even got their Arctic and they were supposro be shipped a few days ago excluding the g2.

You got through on the phone? I've tried tons of times and only gotten voicemail. Did they say anything about shipping confirmation emails or tracking numbers?

I'm curious as to what you base this speculation upon. Do you have insight into the inner workings of the company? You can speculate all you want, but there are posts by people who have been receiving non-Arctic orders from Wicked on this and other forums.

I called the main number and pressed 2 for sales (1pm PST) and got through. I called to ask about my $50 off because I haven't heard back in email and have been ready to place an order for days. The lady I spoke with was ready to take my order right then, but I wasn't in front of a computer so she offered to call me back at 8pm my time, 11pm her time - and she did.

My only questions were related to the lasers I ordered. She said the only lasers on backorder, due to arrive at Wicked next week, were the Lunar and Pulsar. No need to ask about tracking numbers, etc. - they've said we'll get an email when an order is shipped, and lately people have been getting that email, exactly as promised.

There are a lot of worried people on this forum (especially the Arctic thread) who simply don't understand the situation. Could Wicked have handled it better? You bet. Am I in the least bit worried? Not at all.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't worried, I know I'm going to get my laser, I just wanted to know if they would be shipping soon, as I'm leaving for college in a few weeks (address changes are annoying). I agree that people have been taking things way too personally. After seeing those pics of the production process from Wicked, it makes sense that such a small company would have huge troubles with thousands of orders. I bet they don't ship much more than a few hundred lasers during a normal week, now they are expected to ship thousands?

I have been browsing here and there about the wicked lasers and have seen the same thing over and over....people getting the run around emails and phone conversations. Look at how much time has passed since this all started. Look at the address for WL on google maps and see where the business is located! Also VERY suspect is the sudden HUGE drop in prices after the fanfare in the media and Lucas Arts.
Be careful with your money. One can only hope they are on the Up and Up, but the signs sure dont point that way right now!

You obviously joined for the Arctic, and have no buying experience from Wicked or any other laser company. You also obviously don't keep up on this forum or any other forum to read as recently as yesterday, people have been receiving their orders from Wicked in as little as 2-3 days from placing their orders. There's enough FUD regarding Wicked without any more misinformation. Wicked has been around for a long time, and isn't scamming anyone. Please stop spreading rumors.

I dont mean to insult anyone here....Just saying be careful with purchases there.

i can't wait to get my Sonar, just as excited as my Arctic. They said they would ship last week, now they are saying the sonar will ship next week, maybe this week if we are lucky. Seems like the arctic's all over again, and that one isn't even over yet! haha. Oh well, i have faith, i'm more worried about customs getting strict after all the hype going on.

Hey, I also want to order a Sonar.
Is the shipping to Germany allowed?
Will ist arrive shurly?
And can I pay in euro?

I've been collecting for over 22 years, and had been lurking on this forum for a long time - I only joined to purchase another laser from a forum member. I've worked for a laser display company, with events typically being raves and similar parties (see my arvatar). I'd since made several purchases from several members, and had several posts outside the 445 channel before discovering the Arctic. I have several orders placed with Wicked, O-Like, Rayfoss, and Dragon Lasers. So, yes, I can say I didn't join for the Arctic, and I have forum members to back that up.

PS - If, however, Envy disputed my claim (which he hasn't been feeling very defensive about to this point), or even now offered evidence to the contrary of my claim, I'd gladly retract my accusation with an apology.
