your thread title and your question are conflicting. do you want a blue laser or a violet laser. if you want a blue the, look up lyra. if you want a blu-ray violet then check out the buy/sell/trade section on these forums. but be sure to buy from a member with good rep.

yeah very large difference between blue, and blue-ray. blue = $$$$$$$$$$$$ blue ray = kinda purple violet...and it makes stuff glow. you descide. and yeah, dont buy from someone who has no rep, or negative rep.

Im looking for a blu ray laser. Would like to keep the price under 70-80 if possible. I have owned some kaleidoscope greens and a 50mw kd but they stopped working. Just ordered some more 30mw greens and need something new to my collection. I've been looking through the forums, saw some of the homemades but they seemed to be really expensive, could someone point me in the right direction that has experience.

I'm sure you could find what you were looking for in the b/s/t section of the forums.
The difference between the cheap one you will get from China and one constructed by a forum member is that the latter will most likely provide you with a better build that will last a lot longer than one for $15 less that was made on an assembly line in China.
Really. If you want a nice BluRay. Go with at least 80-100mW, focusable (so you can burn stuff).
There is nothing wrong with the rayfoss ones, but they probably will die like your other cheap pointers after extended use.
Good Luck
