So I just bought a UV laser from amazon.com
Its pretty wicked but its not what I was hoping for it to be. I was looking for a laser that I'd be able to see without the aid of smoke machines and whatnot. I used to own a green laser that I was able to see but, I lost it due to an unfortunate situation. Anywho, what do I need as far as qualifications for a laser to be visible when its dark outside. Or possibly during the daytime. I have been reading about mW and nm, so far i've gathered that nm is what color the laser is and mW would I guess be the power of the laser. Right now the specs for my laser is <30mW and 405nm yet I'm only able to see a very faint stream of the laser. Is this due to the color? Or is it stirctly because the mW is not high enough. Also, any recomendations (if I need to return this one) on what would give me the visible stream? It must be able to be purchased on amazon.com because, once I return it. I'm almost positive I'll be getting just store credit back.
Thanks a ton for your help
