well as stated in the title i have a WL E3 Elite Lunar(405nm 100mW)
so yesterday when i unscrewed the cap at the tip of the laser i saw 2 sets of threads under it....the first set that the cap screws into and a smaller set of threads, heres a pic.

so im wondering.... could i simply screw in a G1 lens to make it adjustable? maybe like this one?
G-1 Lens Assembly

would it even fit?

or am i so for off base that i seem extremely retarded?(well.....more than usual anyway!) or is there anything i can do at all? i really dont like the way its just open at the end like this....(i set the end cap down for 2 seconds....my cat walked by....i heard something fall and i havent seen the endcap since! lol)

any input would be appreciated, and sorry about the noobishness, but hey..im learning.

Thanks,
J-Friendly.

2 conditions to put in the G1...

1- you need to take the original lens out. you cant put a lens over a lens

2- the existing threads are the same pitch as the G1

also member jayrob sells the G1 for cheaper i think.

ok cool.....so the lens in it now is just screwed out and replaced? does anyone know what kind of lens is in it now? i have looked but i cant find alot of info on the parts in my laser...will i damage anything else by removing the lens other than the lens if the screwdriver slips. (like is it connected to anything?)

It could be glued in place.... So in theory you wont damage the actual diode or driver. But you run the risk of scratching the lens. And this matters because if the lens is in fact glued in you might not be able to get it out.

Next order of business... If you were willing to spend 100 on a new lens I suggest buying all the a new host, driver and a 12x bluray and pay a memeber to build it. Your laser and a g1 wont come nowlwhere close to what I just mentioned.

Yeah man ....i thought about it for a while and i have decided to leave it as it is! after all the bullshit i went through to get this laser from WL i dont want to screw it up! as horrible as WL is, their hosts are pretty as hell! so i think i shall wait for christmas and just maybe get myself a nice Yobresal build! allthough i DO whish i had a way to make my e3 focusable!
if anyone has any ideas on that....it would be great! anyway
Thanks for the advice Chip!!
