Even if these aren't that powerful, they are cheap and they will make a great pointer (assuming they are violet). You could build 5mW modules and sell them on eBay.

Looks like those loose Diodes were salvaged from these Lens. :

i do that all the time. When i buy lasers from Dx, i buy 2 of the same model, and sell the weaker one to a friend for a huge profit.

Cool thing about this laser is that it has red, IR, and violet all in one.
I did run mine at 60mA for a short time.. until I read it was typically run at 30-38 mA.. Good thing I didn't blow my LD

so we have no idea what it can run at yet
