I'm pretty sure you're trolling. The only reason I'm responding is because new people who might actually use the search function will see this thread and will have the info if someone posts it.

Do not exceed 120mA with a PHR-805T diode.

Now then, new people who search will get the answer. Carry on.

Okay, I'll play along for the sake of newbs wishing to learn.

The difference is a PHR-803T (or the more robust 805T) are 100mW diodes and the 12X diode is a 500mW diode. 500mA is beyond the safe operating current for a 12X diode anyway, those should only be driven past 450mA if you're willing to risk it dying prematurely. You can easily hit >650mW with a G-2 lens @ 450mA on a 12X diode.

Phr's are the lowest of the low in terms of power while a 12x is the highest. more power=more money as long as the diodes are the same wavelength. The driver you have would be best for a low power/long run/life time 445 nm diode like the m-140 or the cheaper a-140.

i use PHR 805t w/ 500 MA n lazer is suppper brite, then liek LED only?

:shhh:

English Please i would not lie about that diode like that i say id stay 90-110Ma For that diode where ever you bought it from? im pretty sure on any diode description it says the min-max current you can set it too

he's a troll that got banned and yes that is around the max current.
the absolute max you should ever push one is 120ma as the wires inside the diode might actually melt if you went any higher
