I don't have a vice so those are the next best thing. I didn't run the laser for very long so I cannot comment on the amount of heat generated.

I don't know the output because I don't have a meter. I would guess its perhaps 15 or 20 mW? I can't really say.

Nope. The servers went down at the same time...

And came back up at the same time. Now they are both in the same "area" of Southern California, but what are the odds that both businesses doing similar type business (Evertek wholesale & Geeks retail) would be on the same server.

Now running out of the drives at the same time may be the result of EVERYBODY drop shipping from the same "jobber". All of the companies selling these units ran out at the same time. There's not that many of us, folks.

Peace,
dave

Geeks did have these in stock as I was going to have my companies driver pick me up a few this week. I spoke with Geeks last week and he stated they had some in stock but where going very fast. he didn't expect them to last over the weekend. He was right.

I mentioned that we weren't the only ones interested in this cheap drive. The Gamrz forums are full of discussions and instructions on how to "hack" the SD-H802A to replace the SD-S802A for use with the XBOX. The SD-S802A costs around $70.

Teh hakorz wz wrkn it ;)

Peace,
