Hello all, this is to be my proverbial cherry popping post :p

I've been reading arround on these forums for a couple of weeks now and decided to go ahead and order a few PHR-803Ts (and join the forum ;) ).

Over on psxboy they're selling the PHR-803T sleds for $12, albeit "used". I'm guessing they're just ripping apart the hd-dvd drives for the sleds.

I went ahead and ordered 3 used ones and a new one. I'm expecting them tomorrow or monday.

I'll let you all know if they're good or if somthing's fishy.

How much is postage on top of that?
Is there a minimum order, or do you just buy like 5 at a time?

Right, I just got the sleds :) today. I tried the diode insided the used sled and it works just fine :)
The postage for me was $25 because I was too impatient to wait a few weeks. In fact I am so impatient, that when the sleds didn't arrive on friday, I went out and bought a DVD burner just to make a laser :D.
I think you can get it for $6 shipping if you don't mind waiting a bit.
One thing regarding the life of the used diodes, even if the drves were used quite a bit before the sleds were removed, I doubt they run the diodes at anywhere near the power we run them at ;),  so I doubt the life has been reduced by anything noticeable.
Right I'm off to extract the diode and build the laser, wish me luck. (I'll post some pics of the build in a couple of hours).

I just ordered 2. Shipping was like $2 because I chose the cheapest option.

It'll be here in "10-30 days" according to PSXboy.
