PHR-803 in (temporary) Matchbox host

I was a little bored this morning and i have a PHR 803 in Aixiz module with Flexdrive but no host as yet (i am planning on installing it in a blue/purple solitaire maglite) and so i was looking around for a temporary host for some burning fun but couldnt find anything suitable, until i spied the matchbox...

A few minutes work with a craft knife and i had a hole in one end just large enough to fit the unscrewed lens assembly, popped the lens assembly into the hole and screwed into the module until it was fairly tight.

Added a mom switch which i taped to the module body with button just above the picture of the match head on the box, added a CR2 for power, tucked in the wires closed the box, applied slight pressure and hey presto the ultimate safety match




Inside its a bit of a mess (much use of electrical tape) but it was fun and killed some time

EDIT:- not wanting to cause any member to suffer eye strain from viewing my poor quality video (and avoid any potential for litigation) i shot a better quality video.

Thanks, i have a better camera but its in a cupboard upstairs, my trusty old N73 camera phone is generally in my pocket so thats what i use unless i really need high resolution.

With an 8X you could use that host as a lighter. Anyone have a match?

Nice but the camera makes my retina's burn more then the laser

Edited to include better quality video, at great personal cost i might add i couldn't find the cable for my video camera so used my wifes cybershot and got an earfull (she is almost as possessive of her toys as i am of mine)
