took possession of a 400mw 405 "power rock" from Susie today. No documentation was included. Nothing on the web-site. Does anyone know what direction the 18650 goes?

Plus(+) to diode?

or

Plus(+) to tail cap?

Oh and one other thing. I no longer see this laser listed on o-like's site.

Did I make a mistake buying this thing? Thanks.

400mw 405 "power rock" ?

I didn't know there was such a thing. (edit- it wasn't there when I looked, now it is, how stange :D)

Nevertheless, negative usually goes to the end with the spring in, +ve to the end without.

I think all Power Rock hosts are case positive (+towards tailcap)
I'm not sure, but I think that laser has reverse polarity protection.

Yeah, I usually go by Stix's method: the side with the spring is the negative side of the battery (assuming they're not button cells).

thanks guys. I went back and looked at the invoice:

1 ea. Power Rock 400mW blu-ray 405nm laser adjustable/waterproof $102.99

I don't see it listed on the website but it was there a couple weeks ago. Hence my curiosity regarding whether I screwed the pooch by buying this thing or not. Who knows?

Not to be a problem child; but both ends have springs... Go figure.

I can't wait to see the groovy violet color. I just don't want to fry the thing.

Both the 445 and green power rocks are + toward tail cap. States right on the website specs. Not sure about the 405. I do not think the power rocks have reverse polarity protection, so it might be a good idea to email Suzie.

Note: The red power rock is - toward cap, so best not to assume direction.

Good luck.

I must be losing it.

Now it's back on the website??? I know I went through the 405 section several times yesterday and it wasn't there. Whatever.

Plus(+) to tail cap it is. And verified. Thanks for the help folks.
