Noob Question about LG  GGCH20L Bluray Drive

Any member dare to use this LG GGCH20L for some bluray project, can you specify the power can bring by the BRD inside it? is it useless or can be a good pointer than PS3 BR diode?Please anybody clear me up about this ..

The GG[highlight]C [/highlight]model does [highlight]NOT [/highlight]have the high powered violet diode in it.  You need the GG[highlight]W[/highlight] model.

Thanks Daguin for clearing me up, here in our country the retailer have only GGCH20L and sonyBWU-100A bluray do you think this BWU-100A is good to start with, its 2x BR burner drive. How much power will i get here, and when i use LM317 Driver, what is the best resistor i can use without trimpot added?any specs for this BR diode? i know you know this thing very well i already saw your project youve done very well. if you have a suggested setup for this, please post it here so i have a guide.

I wouldn't say that the GGC doesn't have the strong 6x diode, just no one has paid the money to try an unsure thing.

guys its very rare in our country to find the simple 2x Bluray burner,sometimes supplier here dont have the stock most of the time :-/ please link me to someone who sells here at best price for 6X sled and be able to accept payment from western union and shipped here in the philippines.. i need to know how many days it takes to deliver it here in our country? please help me out guys, honestly im really out of your way and all my project plan for bluray build was very very delayed, cuz i cant find retailer for that kind of drive(2x/4x/6x..)... :-[ :-/
