Dave,
If you still have a GGW-H20l sled laying around that you would be willing to trade I'll happily buy a 405 from O-Like ( http://www.o-like.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=914 ) and have it delivered to you for a thorough "OK... just relax... you are going to feel some pressure..." examination.
How 'bout it?   ::)
That would be tempting **IF** I had a GGW here.  I just placed my last one into a warranty repair.

LOL ;D  Sorry to waist your time.  It's new to me though!! ;D[/quote]

Research is rarely a "waste of time."  We just need to use these early numbers to figure out what is happening today.

I just talked to Susie and they are now selling those Nichia diodes one at a time. Similar to a 6X.

Igor's graph below...

Very true! Could we do a group buy?

We probably want someone to test how long these can be run and at what wattage before that :)

Still - these look MUCH more promising than the AW210s

Any takers?

Edit: it would help if I quoted the post I was replying to...

Edit 2: oops - I saw the graph, but missed the thread that established about 170-180 mA as a fairly safe limit for driving these diodes - apparently they are more efficient than the GGW-H20L diodes, but can't be driven as high.
