he hasnt written me back yet he did give me a 60,000 yen price on the 200mw one though ;D ;D ;D i'm ordering 3 next week ::) :p

unless you have a more impressive presentation to them than I was able to muster, you may not get any answer at all. I tried several times a few years ago with absolutely no result, though that was only for white LED's. It's hard enough getting replies from distributors! So don't be too surprised if you never hear from them... I hope they do respond to you though!

~$650usd really isn't too bad for a diode that would probably do 400mW :eek: :eek:

She is not selling them yet. I believe she is waiting for final test results. Otherwise, the price is listed as $75, but she doesn't have them, cos she can only buy 100 at once.

I think the best way to get them would be a GB. I wouldn't want Susie re-packaging ESD sensitive components. I need to explain the dangers to her. She didn't know you're not supposed to touch diodes, which is why i requested the sample to be packaged and sealed by the laser show factory she got it from.


Otherwise, look at the plots i just made in the other thread. I don't know if this diode is better than the 6x. The only real difference is the beam profile. How much it can handle, i don't know yet. But i'm working on finding out...

IIRC, they were closer to the 6X than these SF-AW210's.  However, they were not worth the extra cost compared to the 6X.  However, now that the GGW's are not available . . . . . .

Here's a cut and paste from the last email Igor and I had about the Susie Nichia's

I think it's weaker than 6x..

It just has a rounder beam, that's all...

But from what i've seen, 6x's are tougher.

There now I'm sure that clears it up, eh ;)

It's better than using the hated (at least by me) SF-AW210 diodes...

I don't think that anyone but IgorT has gotten one. No one was willing to spend $80 for this diode while they could still get a 6X and a Long Closed Can red for $60

Somebody needs to buy one and do a mA/mW graph. Or buy one and send it to me ;)

If you still have a GGW-H20l sled laying around that you would be willing to trade I'll happily buy a 405 from O-Like ( http://www.o-like.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=914 ) and have it delivered to you for a thorough "OK... just relax... you are going to feel some pressure..." examination.  

How 'bout it?   ::)
