I ordered a 50mw waterproof bluray from rayfoss which took about 3 weeks to arrive. Unfortunatly it arrived broken. The diode lens appears shattered. The bubblewrap envelope it arrived in was mostly popped and there was a visible crush point on the box holding the laser.

Since this is not a warkmanship issue but a shipping issue(though could be argued that it could be packed much better) is this covered by rayfoss warranty?

For anyone that has shipped a laser back to chine under 1 pound shipping weight, what was the cost? Would it be viable to just get another phr diode and take it apart and replace it myself depending how how hard it is to get driver and diode out of the housing?

In regard to taking it apart has anyone done so with these waterproof lasers and if so how hard was it? glued in? or just tight fit?

Different topic, have you noticed that the website lists cr2 as the power source for thier waterproof series, but what arrives is a cr123 powered laser. I bought a couple of spare batteries and a charger based on cr2 information but now have 2 useless batteries unless i use some magnet spacers and dont fumble around with it at all.

all of rayfoss lasers are supplied by a 3 month free repair service incase its DOA or if it just 'dies' better ship it with a tracking number though.

stuart :)

This is my first time ordering from Rayfoss and when I ordered I did not receive an email with directions on how to pay for the laser should I be worried.
