just looked into how to make flash paper.... I'm not gonna try...  you need lots of sulfuric acid and some nitric acid! I'm not gonna touch that one! I'll just order some paper instead...

Switch,

The battery was found at a hobby shop that caters to RC airplane guys, something I also do. In fact I bought two batteries that day, The small one for the Phaser, and the big one for my flying wing. The small one, the Prodigy is a 130ma/hr 3.7V single cell. The big pack is an 11.1V 3300ma/hr LiPo that can supply 66 amps continuously and 120Amps in a burst. Yeah baby, if only there were a violet diode that could use the big pack.

It's mAh not mA/h actually, not quite the same thing :p But anyway. what kind of battery life do you get? And can the big battery really handle such a huge current draw !? :O

I'm running between 160ma and 200ma most of the time now. Because of the nature of the Phaser packaging I don't leave it on for more than 10 or 15 seconds at a time. So I can go a few weeks before having to recharge, because it only runs less than a minute or two total per day. I also don't let the LiPo discharge very far before recharge to preserve its life.

Switch, yeah the big battery is rated at 66Amp continuous, and I typically run it around 40-50 amps for minutes at a time when flying. If you have not seen an electric wing fly, checkout the video link below. It features a similar wing to mine wing drawing this kind of current and is flown by the guy who sells them.

That is fantastic! With the new movie out, I can't wait to see someone find a toy/model of the new phasers they used with the rotating emitters for stun/kill and put a blue/red in just like he had on the Romulan ship.
