My latest build a 6x GGW diode in a mini Energizer host powered by 1 AA battery that is boosted up to 4.2 volts by its own boost drive built into the flashlight I used a o-like drive set @ 190mA in these beamshots I am using a Jayrob glass 405 lense, This little guy is awesome!!!

LOL! All of NY is going to be blind by the time all of your lasers hit the street LOL!

Good looking laser

Peace,
dave

Thats very nice!
Do you have a link for the host you used?

I want to make a few phr lasers as gifts. Any host that uses standard batteries is what I'm looking for. Much easier to give someone a laser that wont need some rare or expensive cell.

Target has all three of these i've made lasers outta the two skinny ones already the mini one runs off of one AA 1.5v battery the longer one
2XAA 3.0volts and the short fat one 4XAAA 6.0volts

Nice! Killer beam shots too...

Just really curious about the smallest one. You say you used the stock driver 'as is', and just connected the FlexDrive to it?

Thanks Jayrob I 'm glad you caught my mistakes, read it now it should make more sense! lol

Ok... I want to try this. You say you used the stock flashlight driver, and connected an o-like driver with it? And that's it?

Just curious. I want to get one and do some testing...

Nice little build!

How comes your beam shots are so clear and visible, I thought the 405nm wavelength of blu-ray was realy, realy hard to see let alone get a beamshot or was it the camera being awesome and picking it up :D?

^ yup that'll do it, although i find my camcorder seems to be rather sensitive to the wavelenght already

Hey dieselmarine you should post a pic of all your lasers together! I wanna see this impressive collection

All of my beamshots are taken by my iPhone, and personally I think the iPhone camera sucks quality wise. But it does seem to pick up 405nm very good even without smoke! The really intense beamshots are taken with alittle fog.
BTW REALLY is spelt with 2 L's and (How comes) is not proper! lol

Grammar nazis, ugh can never escape them on the internet :na:

Do you know how much mw's it is putting out?
On a side note does anybody have a charter for a 405nm blu-ray laser and what powers will burn what, like 40mw will pop a balloon, 80mw will light a match etc..

Marcus
