This is my smallest build yet: a PHR set at 100mA on the mark

a single 10440 w/a Dx sku 10720...easy build, give it a shot.jander6442

Heatsinking is always usefull though

^^true, but w/this build the "snugness" of the mod into the head of the unit makes the whole unit the heatsink...I'll post on the life span of this unit.

Thanks for the complements.

It is true what the elders say... the longer you do this the more rewarding it becomes.;)

Off to make some more of these.:beer::beer:

The small amount of heatsinking available should cover diodes running at less than 350mA

I would say a red LOC, or an 8x BR would be a little much for it. my LOC even gets my pocket mini toastin. and the pocket mini has a rather small heatsink i would say.

Just a thought, EXCELENT build though friend ^_^ try running a red LOC "lpc-815" at about 410mAh in that puppy... and see if it gets hot or not.

Yea... It would be doable just for small burst. I have at least 4 LOC's now
not in this host. Maybe a 16x LCC those are bad a** also...

My favorite 635nm is in the Husky host red w/ lava v4 w/a hugh heat sink set at 475mA's... Bright as I would ever want or need

had run times as far as 10 mins minimal heat...it's there just doesn't get to me.

LOL!!!! silly build your own there cheap and easy...set at 100mA depending on the efficiancy should last forever.

Where in the world do you get a cheap and easy high powered 635nm laser? I can't seem to find any over 10mw for less than about $80....

I was referring for this build as it is a PHR set at 100mA's.:)^

as far as my referring to my 475 mA red 660nm your right. I don't even own a 635nm unless it hidden in a device in my home some ware. LOL!!! thanks for the catch.
