Just got it in today!

Ok so this is my first time owning a blu laser of any kind, it is really cool! It is more like a UV laser (black lite) and is really hard to focus on. Since the human eye does not focus UV light very well, it appears to have a halo around the spot. I think this is caused by the lens of your eye brings UV light to focus just above the retina. Anyway, i think the laser is really cool.

Here is my review:

The biuld is the exact same as the red 200mW new style laser that O-Like has for sale. The focusing head is nice and smooth from the silicone grease used on the threads. It does not shift while focusing and the beam quality is great. It uses the same CR2 rechageable batteries.....the batteries for this laser go in opposite of those in the red laser. Positive faces the tail cap.

The laser spot is difficult to see outdoors due to the low wavelength, but indoors it is cool! I had to smoke up the room for the beam to be visible in my photos. The video I shot is cool, I am burning leather and lighting three matches. However the exact focus point of the laser was hard to see, the matches usually ignight instantly. Well i hope some of you will buy one of these, it really is neat!

Nice! Blu-ray lasers are awesome!
You should have put this in the reviews section.
Well this laser is actually violet (near UV) and not blue like you said.
You should try shining it at white paper and fluorescent objects, it's really cool.

Wow. Amazing shot. I'm surprised the laser companies don't hire you for product shots.

I just ordered one of these from Susie, am waiting for it.

... Would you be willing to give some pointers on taking good "operating laser shots", for those of us with DSLRs? I'd really like to improve my laser review photography, and I think other people could benefit too - it could lead to some really awesome reviews around LPF.

(Course, you may want to keep your secrets to yourself,)

Hey dude, thanks for the comment. That was actually just a quick image, I did not put much effort into it. All I did was smoke up the room a bit using a storm proof match that burns strong for about 10 seconds and releases a lot of smoke. Then I set up my SB 900 flash in a small softbox set at camera left, and my camera was set to manual for a 15 second exposure. All of the lights were off in the room so the long exposure could be done after the flash. That is how I did the shots of my RPL-425 green laser seen in my signature. Jack at Optotronics is currently using those images on his webpage. That is pretty much it, just have to experament. Try it and see what you get. Turn your room lights on, set up your laser, turn off the lights and shoot the shot.

if oLike was doing 250mW portables, I'd be there. Bunch of other chinese companies claim 200mW but I've ended up with .... far less...

Yup.
The trick with laser photography is extended exposures and specific lighting solutions.
As the professionals say, 1/3 of great photograpy is "light".
Any performance compact, prosumer, or DLSR can deliver great shots with virtually any subject with a small amount of research into the capabilities of their kit.
Anyway, back to the lasers, its quite amazing. I have been testing my o-like 150mW blu-ray laser on a HLPM II meter and after it warms up I am hitting peaks of ~180mW.
Happy with that, very happy with that.

Have you looked at rayfoss lately? They're offering 250, and 200mw of 405 for less than 150$. The 200mw, and 250mw are only 5$ apart though which makes me think they're both using the same diode and the 250mw is just overdriven, and won't last as long...
Heres the link they're also waterproof!

Not bad -- do we know that those are ending up doing what they say they do?

I haven't heard of anyone getting one yet, but I would guess they're close to spec...
