The only reason its so expensive is because the 12x diode in it is 200$. It's a custom build. You could get the same host and put a 13$ PHR in it. It will be the same color just only 1/5 the power.

ok wen you say power are you talking power to burn or all around beam power?
to tell you the truth all i want is the most solid BEAm i can get. i dont really want to burn much.im sure i will but to me the solidness of the beam of light is what im after..any info that might help me out in that area.

If you want a solid beam of light go with green! Green is the brightest color by far. The pictures are decieving. 100mw of bluray is comparable to maybe a couple mw of green.

ya i got a Photonic Disruptor on the way to me in the mail. its 100mW of green so im sure that will do it for me but i do love the violet color haha. so even going from say a 8x to a 12x wont get me a more solid beam just a better burning tip...is that right?

Ah your looks nice. i havent got it yet but its not the pro..it looks allot more plane than your i think. what are the spec diff in the pro and non pro?

I agree with the other response green is DEFINITELY best for a beam. The picture is deceiving: at night the 555mW of blu-ray is considerably less noticeable than 30mW of green.
