Yes, I've seen many a yellow dot in my vision for not wearing goggles... lol. Fortunately they were only temporary.

Hey cust11, how did you get an open can GGW??? Was the can removed from the diode?

I got an open can GGW because I was not careful enough while extracting from the heatsink and I broke the diode window :shhh:. So I just cut the can off. Works fine @ 196mA so far!.

Ya i know they just sunglasses they dont offer any protection to my eyes.They just reduce the glare that i see,but they offer no protection.Just to help me SEE better.
BTW cust11, my plans now are to build this into a project box,then build a heatsink for a LPC-815 red laser set at 420 mA.Also i need to find a host before i begin the red.

I got an 815 sitting on my desk right now. I have yet to use it. I am waiting to buy eye protection first, hopefully Dark has a good selection when his site goes up on the first.
