Lens for phr803t diode?

What is the standard lens that comes with the aixiz module from hightechdealz, red AR coated? Where can I get a clear coat acryllic or glass aixiz that will work well with the phr? Any way to get ar coated aixiz lenses for 405nm wavelength?

Oh, and where can I get a 4x burner diode or a 6x?

How can I get a AR coated one for bluray? Oh, and ive heard that the sure laser modules are better for bluray as they can focus it to infinity. Can I just take the focusing ring off of this and put it on the aixiz, or do I have to use the whole front lens assembly from the surelaser? Is the lens on the surelaser one also a clear coat acrylic?

I dont think u can atm, or aleast propper ar coated for 405nm. But there is a group buy going on:

If you follow this it just might be your best chance at getting propper lenses for 405nm of PHR's. But the next best thing is Aixiz acrylic-thats what most people i think are using at the moment, Thats what im using.

The sure and aixiz modules are almost identical from what I've seen. You should be able to just unscrew the sure lens from the sure focus ring and attach an axiz lens if you want, but the lenses are almost identical [both are the clear acrylics]. I think I noticed a 1-2mW difference between aixiz and sure lenses. Granted, 1-2mW is a pretty standard fluctuation even without changing lenses.

The only AR coated lenses we have available to us atm are for reds only. IgorT is working on a custom AR coated lens for blurays. Shouldn't be too much longer for the GB to kick off.

As far as 4x/6x diodes, there's group buys for the 6x going on IIRC. The 4x, in my opinion, is not worth buying- especially since the 6x is like $10-$15 more for a diode that is almost guaranteed to be able to do >170mW. The 4x's are very inconsistent. I had one at 140mA that put out like 110mW or something stupid. A PHR does better than that- I have one at 135mA and 125mW. But my 6x is at 200mA [which is towards the upper limit for lifetime considerations] producing ~212mW.
I got my 6x sledz from laser surplus parts- $56, in stock, and in the USofA

Where do you get 6x diodes? What's the cheapest place to get just 1 diode?

Thanks

What mA should I set the flexdrive at? I will be using a darkhorse full body heatsink with the dorcy. Is there any non group buy way of getting an AR coated lens for the aixiz?

Thanks

you don't want an AR coated lens for blu-ray just get an acrylic or non AR coated glass

What mA should I run it at to get the best power but still be somewhat reliable?

me too! I like to give new folks the benefit of the doubt, but this i s nuts - every question in this thread could be answered by a simple browse thru the first page of topics in a couple of sections!

I know I disagreed with you Jerry in Milan's case, but that was partly situational and the fact that it isn't easy for a non-English speaker to skim through to find the desired information. Where I'd tell a North American to buzz off and read the friggin' 20 pages, that would be a hardship for someone who doesn't know that friggin' does not refer to getting chilled. oh - well, at least not directly ::)

now I'm gonna get told that BeavRat is from Madagascar or something and I should stfu stuf it ;-)

Gee DanQ...  I could give you one of my pills.....  ::);D ;D ;D ;D

Yeah there are a lot of Noobs (not all of them) that are just plain lazy... and expect us to do
their legwork..
I agree with you that Non-English speaking members should perhaps be cut a bit more slack
on the "you need to read to find it" theme... ;)
