hi people

a while ago i saw this video in where some dude made a lighter with a laser in it and i thought that was really cool so i made one. after i made it i showed my friends the lighter and they wanted to make one so i showed them the utube video. the guy lit a cigarette with it at the end and they all wanted to try. so we all lit up some smokes but the laser got in our eyes. i didn't think it was a big problem because the laser isnt very bright compared to the green one i bought last year. but now a week later we noticed that its getting kind o hard to see text far away and we want to know when this will go away.

ok bai

Kipkay gives the worst advice ever! Nothing you can do but go see an optometrist! Today.

Edit: If a laser is bright enough to light something on fire, imagine what it could possibly do to an eye. Please go to the Doctor

Wow is this like a joke?

You really need to goto a eye doctor. Any laser powerful enough to burn something will have enough power to permanently blind you.

And maybe get through high-school English. Highlighted were just SOME of your mistakes.

kipkay >.> I heard he makes great drivers....

I saw his lighter video and the way he uses it is totaly retarded and as you experienced it shines into your eye if you do it the way he showed it in the video.

Go see a doctor straight away but since it has been a week chances of permanent damage are quite high.

Quite the price for a cool lighter huh?

One good reason is that some of the users here translate the site into their native tongue. "b4" and "ill" don't really translate to the meaning you used them in.

Also, capitalization and correct punctuation help people understand your post.

Well, it is pretty stupid to shine a laser that can light a cigarette into your face. If it can burn paper, it is probably not good for the eyes.

However, I hope your eyes are ok. Chances that irreversible damage has occurred is quite high, though.
Be more careful and if you continue to use the laser lighter, buy some protective goggles.

this is obviously a joke.... he purposly spelled "by" as "bai" that is not a grammatical mistake unless he is from another country. go take your problems to kipkay. LPF doesn't want to be associated with such stupidity. sorry but it is the truth.

yous should always wear protection when operating with laser . safety comes first but you can benefit from kipkay and his safety. the same thing with an ir laser you can't see it but it can damage your eye hard.

If this is true I hope kipkay reads it, Because nobody reads a small black warning text box on a video when your watching a firework get lit by a purple laser beam.

ok u people think im a troll cuz i have bad grammar on the interweb?

Here, is this better grammar Nazis? I sure hope so. Many people use the term "bai," and it doesn't automatically mean that person is a troll.

I just got back from the optometrist and an hour of traffic plus a $50 co-pay later I'm back here. He said I have a burn on my right fovea, and my retina is starting to become inflamed. (I got the laser in the right eye). He also said the damage is likely permanent, and it may get worse. Fuck.

I'll report back to you people on whether my situation improves or worsens, and I'll also tell my friends to get their eyes looked at.

Dang man...I'm sorry! You really should message Kipkay and complain that his videos cause harm. He shouldn't be putting info up without warning you properly at the very least. I hope your vision improves.

That sucks. I think if your one of the few people on here that has permanent eye damage.

Contact kipkay. He might finally pull his laser videos.
