For some reason that driver makes me feel uneasy. I'm new to this forum but I would recommend maybe a jayrob driver for your purposes...I hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes here with that advice....so. maybe get a second opinion as well!

First of all the driver you posted is very unsafe !
Many people have killed their diodes using these drivers.
Also to achieve 1W your driver must be atleast 1100mA but
i recommend 1250mA.
Do you have any safety goggles ?

You have to ask a moderator to delete it.

Does jayrob sell his own style of driver? or Do you mean the FlexDrive?

I'm not sure where his parts are from but I chose to buy his stuff since he was recommended me by all.of this community. I wish you luck on your endeavors! Although I'm not sure if I answered your question....hope so!

sku 26110 is the common (tested) driver for 1W and it's cheaper, no modes though

that driver wont hit 1A at all, the Vf of a 445 diode is too high to reach that current. you are looking at around 2.7V.

You need a 3-5 mode buck or boost driver.
