I have a <50mw 405nm violet laser. I bought it off amazon from LEDmall. I was planning on doing my first laser mod on it, but I had trouble when it came to taking out the module. I removed the top thing, but the laser diode and stuff is futher. How do I get down to it?? And when I went to focus the beam by turning the small holes in it, they didn't move. Am I doing it wrong? I can provide more information if you need it. Please help! ASAP! :thanks::thanks::thanks::thanks::thanks::thanks::thanks::thanks:

Don't pot mod it... Buy a PHR and a simple linear driver which you can even DIY would get you started. :)

Pics would help, but pot modding your laser will most likely kill it instantly, if not in a week or two

In addition to this info about killing it or very soon after probably .Quiet a few don't have pots to adjust and the output is set by a resistor so its a lot of mucking around to pull them apart only to find out there is no pot to adjust and only often a small surface mount resistor is used to set the output ,not worth the effort in IMO. Most are overspec anyway
