Hi, I have a phr laser that I recently made and it works great but when i try to focus it on a wall 10ft away I can only get it to about 1 inch diameter. is this normal? or is it just the glare? even the beam is around 1in. diameter. Can someone help:anyone:

Is it the actual dot, or some halo garbage around it? The dot itself should be focusable to a relatively small point. You might just have to do some very fine adjustments.

Is your LD COMPLETELY pushed into the Aixiz module..
Flush is not good enough... It needs to be pushed in
past Flush...

Are you looking at the Laser Beam DOT with Laser Safety
Goggles...
You can only see the real size of Laser beam dot thought
Laser safety goggles...

What Jerry meant by looking it through the goggles,

405nm light is on edge of visible spectrum. It refracts differently through your eye's lens and appears very "fuzzy". This is completely normal, you should actually walk up to the laser dot and look at it from close distance, you will see that it's actually quite small.

This fuzzyness has a way of being circuimvented though, I have noticed that fuzzy dot consists of "streaks" in my vision, and dot is in perfect focus when those starry streaks are quite crisp and sharp looking, although they form large dot in my vision at distance.

It takes practise.

Also, don't forget actual safety goggles. You only get two eyes in your lifetime, don't lose 'em!
