hi, im looking to build a blu ray laser and im wanting to find some good quality components, i dont want top quality because itll cost me an arm and a leg :') i want one for around £30 ish.

ive got a module on the way already but i dont have a blu ray driver or diode. i also havnt got a host for it but that could just come next i guess

That looks like it came from OdicForce. Have you not looked on the rest of their site for the other parts? Pretty reasonable prices all round - HERE

Have a look at the group buys on the BST too I think there was some 405's being sold for about $7

Yeah, for the UK, Odicforce is a pretty good bet and, although I couldn't find it on his site for some reason, I know he does a bluray kit in the same host as the red kits. Shoot him an email and ask him about them. I think you're looking to build a little custom one but those kits are great starter lasers as they are a one stop buy. All the individual parts are available from there too at good prices as you've seen from the module you've ordered.

If you're after the more exotic diodes however, then I may be able to help.

Now the problem is finding a host for that 16mm module, as 99.9% of hosts and heat sinks are made for 12mm modules.

yeah i kow :\ im sure ill be able to find something, ill just make the hole in my last holder(wooden) bigger and connect it up to the circuit ive got already
