well either way gooeygus made the most valid point by pricing everything up. and that was with the hobbyists parts not the high end parts he was saying the laser could be. the laser could be a phr set to a low mw. that doesnt make it cheaper. and @ tj, gooeygus can assume it is a high qualilty laser for the same exact reason you can assume it is not.

I'm not even saying it is a high quality laser, I'm just saying its probably better than a diode in an aixiz module.

It probably has a couple lenses to give it a good beam diameter, etc.

I dont think $5 for batteries is too crazy... batteries at the store are like $3-5 or more, not to mention driving time and gas, or shipping money if bought online

maybe it's not 5mW, he's saying this because ebay doesn't allow him to say more, this is the way people say phr builts etc >.>

Well people are easly fooled by those prices because most of them shop at wicked lasers, where a simple 60mW laser costs as much as 58" HD television.

But you must also consider that regulations on Ebay forbid you from selling lasers over 5mW. This laser is probably capable of more, but is advertise for less.

And it's not that much of a scam considering people are buying BR lasers at 2000$

I don't understand why you people didn't see my point earlier...

These lasers are all over the web for under $60. Skylaser ones are going for $35 if you buy 10. And they are ALL capable of more.

Maybe its my area but those type batteries are $0.99 for 4 at my local discount store.

Ok really. Just because prices are higher than other places does not mean its a scam. People have to up the prices to make a profit, that's what this guy is doing anyways. It's a free economy, people have the right to set prices as they please.

*shaking head* I already said if people are stupid enough to pay tha price then they deserve it. We are not debating that, or that he has the right to charge what he wants. We are debating if its a scam or not. When you consider the possibility he bought the lot for $35 each, making a $85 profit is obviously a phishing scam. Ethically he is scamming stupid people, legally he is a business man. Its up to you were there the line is. For me and others it makes us sick. The more you keep defending him the sicker its making me. I see your point, I don't see why you cant see mine. I'm done...again.

He might have bought the item for incredibly cheap, but he does need to make a profit. Ebay fees and costs of bad customers can make even a large amount of profit go down FAST. An item is worth what people are willing to pay.

It doesn't make me sick at all... I would just do a [Search] on eBay and
choose the best deal for me... like I do for anything I buy there...

I don't think that people that would buy that laser are "stupid" but more
likely... uninformed or too lazy to do some research...
(knowledge is FREE on the internet).

Just because he is selling something for $XXX.XX doesn't oblige you to
purchase it...
The marketplace will bring his prices down when sales don't happen...
And the price paid by someone is the fair market price for that individual...

If I sold my products at my parts costs... I would be out of business in a week..

Then I'd need T_J to support me....:crackup::crackup:

He is not making the lasers. Would it make you sick if I was buying Laserbees at a discount and selling them somewhere else for $800-$1000?
