This is a great deal you offer. I am very willing to do this for you. We will have to figure out what you mean by a "glow in the dark o-ring", and which hosts you might like to use, but I see no problem in not turning this for you in less than a week of receiving the parts.

I have several high quality hosts and drivers here, on hand already.

Also, I too am in Southern California. Maybe we can trade out that other diode (CH08) for the PHR while the packages are moving.

Peace,
dave

Glow in the dark lens covers and clicky covers are easy. I can see how having a GITD cover could prevent you from lighting it with it pointing the wrong way. if all you want is a glowy "end" it should not present much of a challenge.

We could build it in a nice JayRob keychain CR2

or maybe one of his pocket mini kits.

I have a MisterWilling host here, but the GITD ring in front would present a problem. It comes with a focus ring adapter to protect your fingers from the burning light at the lens aperture.

Like this, but in bare aluminum

Actually nvm, about me saying i'll do it. Let Daquin build your laser, he is a very reputable member on here and knows how to build a laser.

@Daguin- a Cree C3 "Sliver" has everything Diesel is looking for, GITD o-rings on the front around the lens and middle and back parts, pretty much water-proof if you build it that way retaining the glass. Kendall @ HTD had the host and my gt some more soon. Gotta use a Flex-drive for such a tiny build and get a sliver heatsink from Dark Horse, which he may have one or two left cause I got one last week. You build your own drivers though don't you? I was going to do this same build but havent had any experience with dr. lava's driver yet, kinda scared to try just yet. :shhh: They are a slick looking host like the one's you posted though, tough choice.

Acutally JayRob may have everything, host heat sink and all.

Thanks for the reminder, Archienj7.

I also have one of these hosts available here

**EDIT** -- Looking at your photos (nice car BTW) it looks like you like lasers that look more like a flashlight. If so, we can use one of these hosts as well

Dave, If you have another Kryton you might be able to fit a ring in the head. However, it would make it ever harder to focus it.

I think that I'm going to spread the recommendation that no one use a Kryton to build an 8X WITHOUT one of Jayrob's focus ring adaptors. You simply cannot get your fingers in there, to focus it, without burning them :eg:

I burn my fingers in my 6X build

That is good advise, that would hurt your fingers a lot!!

Yea I definitely need to have him make me two, then get them anodized to match!

Anyway, Dave is a good person to pick for a build. I hope to confirm that first hand one day :)

SPAM Duplicate Posting ;)

I didn't know where you might check so I am cross-posting this (So sue me)

Your package arrived this afternoon. I have a dinner date tonight. It will probably be Monday before I can get to this.

Man! The broken pins on the one are broken off pretty deeply. I'm sure glad I didn't have to guarantee anything working on it ;)

Thanks for the "artwork" and the seals. They made me smile :)

Enjoy your leave

Peace,
dave
