I haven't tried the others, but the first one on the list, this one,

is very easy to modify. I comes apart even at the top of the lens. Here's my build thread for that host:

I used a DDL style driver, but it would be even better with a FlexDrive! That way, you could use 3 X 1.5 volt lithium primaries!

I went ahead and got this one because I'm using rckstr's driver, and I don't want to order too many extra batteries.
Is it easy to modify?

I personally have not tried that host, it looks small! Small = difficult. I have used this host for a small blu-ray. It is really nice:

Oh well, it looks like a nice flashlight, I might just keep it for its intended use. I'm not in a big hurry anyways.

The flashlight you got is nor easy nor difficult, you can get it to work
